Whenever laser hair removal is mentioned, there is always someone who can relate a negative story, such as pain, injury or poor outcome. Not only have lasers come along way from first generation machines, but there must be an understanding that only hair in the growth phase is affected, therefore multiple treatments are required. Pain is less with the newer units and results are best when performed by a qualified trained specialist. Best results are also seen by “real” lasers over IPL or RF.
So do your homework before starting your course of hair removal. Be patient and it will pay off in the long run!

Heat and humidity in Florida can make bacteria run rampant.
Keep bacteria from growing in our make-up brushes. Try to remember to wash out brushes every 2-4 weeks in warm water and baby shampoo. Rinse till clear and just lay flat to dry. This will also prevent the spread of bacteria that causes acne and blackheads.
Ditch old powders and dried up lipsticks after six months. If you have been sick with a cold, flu or herpes virus (cold sore), don’t risk cross contamination just to save few pennies.
Your health is worth so much more!

Discoloration knows no bounds!
Age spots, freckles, melasma-whatever you choose to call it..everyone with a lifetime exposure to the sun will eventually develop a spot or two. Even wrinkle free skin that is discolored can make you look older.
There are many options available these days. Prescription bleachers with hydroquinone, Light therapy (IPL), Fraxel lasers, Micro-Dermabrasion and chemical peels all improve or remove these unsightly marks but several treatments are required in order to achieve your goal and can become costly. Prescription bleachers can have a “rebound” effect with color returning even worse. But I have found Biofade Blemish Lightening Serum. It contains mostly natural ingredients. But NO hydroquinone which has been deemed a carcinogenic. This product lightens very quickly (compared to most bleaching claims). Use faithfully twice daily with sunscreen in AM. Within 45 days, there is a notable difference and can be used safely for any time frame. But you must always wear SPF to prevent color from returning.

Quoting PCI Journal (Warfield Weekly Update 10/1/10)
New studies show women who sit in front of computers for long periods of time are developing “computer face”. Deep set wrinkles on forehead and around the eyes from heavy concentration over time. You tend to squint and frown with realizing it. Hours of this , day after day is causing women to look “grumpy”.
Doctors recommend taking screen breaks, stretching neck muscles or put mirror next to computer screen. You will be surprised at what you do subconsciously.
But of course, another answer is Botox!!

On one of my many flights to Barbados (lots of hours to read on plane) just read an article from Prevention Magazine. They stated that JUST three handfuls of tiny candy corn can equal as much as 770 calories. That is equivalent to a big Mac and small fries….YIKES!!
They sure know how to take the fun out of Halloween!
